On Saturday 31st August our Mid-Shropshire League 'B' team got to the final of the Ashton Shield for the second successive year beating some high-class opposition on the way so well done to everyone involved.

Unfortunately on the night we came up against a very strong team from Highley who handled the tricky green at Wrockwardine Wood extremely well and thoroughly deserved their win. Nevertheless our team got invaluable experience which will stand us in good stead for next season when we hope to make it third time lucky.

Our photo's were taken by the league officials and show most of the team prior to the match and captain Peter Yates collecting the runners-up trophy at the end of the evening.
