Sunday 20th August saw a beatifully sunny afternoon on the Much Wenlock green, a perfect setting for the annual Fun Bowls event.

6 teams tackled the whacky course of six bowling challenges namely 'Under theArches', 'Target Bowls'. 'Tip the Teddy', 'Jolt the Jack', 'Hoop-La' and 'Crazy Corner'. Each team had to tackle the course four times during the afternoon and the competition got hotter and hotter with plenty of laughter, oohs and ahs.

At the end, two teams were tied for the best score and had a 'bowl off' to decide the winners and runners up. The Blue Jays team comprising Jeremy Good and Julie Hutt took on the No Idea team of Club Chairman Tony Swales and Julian Rudkin and with one of the last bowls the Blue Jays got the top spot and came out fine winners.

A 'Spider' which followed the main contest was won by Sue Partridge. Our photographs show the winners, runners up and all contestants.
